Northern Fuerteventura has stunning vast dunes. There are remote villages to be explored, as well as easygoing dining on fresh seafood whilst relaxing for the evening.

Things to do
Costa Calida is a beautiful family holiday destination. The bustling harbour is floodlit at night and has been restored beautifully. There’s friendly fish who love being fed, which can be great fun for the children.

There’s boat and catamaran trips out to see where you may see dolphins, turtles and whales. There’s even opportunity to swim with them if you wish! For those who prefer a bit more action on the water, there are water sports such as jet skiing, scuba diving and snorkeling to be enjoyed.

For those who enjoy walking, there is plenty of easy scenic walking in the area. There are pretty coastal paths where you’ll meet friendly local chipmunks who love being fed by hand! At low tide on the beach, there are fascinating rock pools to explore, teaming with sea life.

Shopping
You’ll find a variety of shops in Caleta’s centre and a popular market every Saturday morning. There’s also the Atlantico centre, home to the biggest supermarket in Caleta de Fuste, handy for self-catering and a great place to buy beach snacks. The centre also offers visitors a Spanish language cinema and amusement arcade, restaurants, designer shops and a bowling alley.

If you enjoy hunting for bargains on your way back from the beach, Costa Caleta’s Shopping village can be found at Pueblo Majorero, the central plaza, just back from the beach.

Nightlife
Calida has its fair share of pubs and music bars offering a lively night of entertainment. There are resort run family clubs who provide entertainment for the children as well as regular Happy Hours.

But after the kids go to bed, Caleta’s centre has a few lively bars where you can stay later. Calida is very laid back and has a great party atmosphere to take you through the night.

Eating out
Costa Caleta features affordable Greek, English and Chinese restaurants as well as Mexican and Indian.
The main plaza bursts with restaurants and good value eateries dishing up British and Canarian staples including gorgeous fresh shrimps smothered in garlic rich olive oil. To refresh you in the warm sun, there’s cold beer or wine waiting for you, as you watch the sun go down. Why not finish the night with a starlit supper before bedtime.
