Cheap Holidays to Canary Islands

The Canary Islands are located south west of Spain and enjoys a great sunny climate lasting most of the year around. The Canaries consists of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma, Gormera and El Hierro.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canaries, and is very popular amongst holiday makers from the UK. The regions tend to vary, with Gran Canaria having a mountain range in the islands’ centre and Fuerteventura has the most luxurious beaches. La Palma is the least developed of the Canary Islands.

Around the Canaries, there are great beaches and fine sands to enjoy. There are small fishing villages, hilltop hamlets, and many areas of unspoilt wilderness with volcanoes and primeval forests.

Fuerteventura enjoys over 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, so if you’re looking for winter sun, Fuerteventura is the place to go. It is the second largest of the Canary Islands, full of whitewashed holiday complexes, green palm trees dotted around the relaxing bars.

The Canaries gastronomy is a reflection of the islands’ volcanic origins, the quality of the land and the products, traditions and influences of other cultures and times. Indulge in the succulent tastes of this European food and enjoy their delicious Canarian wines.

The Canary Islands are family friendly and all in all, a cheap holiday to get away from the grey weather in the UK. It’s a place to relax and take in the rays of the sunshine. It’s a great location for windsurfers and sun worshipers alike.
